Gun Scaling Tool

More than a few people design guns for specific applications. For such people it is often convenient to start with a proven design and scale it up or down as appropriate to the situation. GGDT's scaling tool was created with these folks in mind. The scaling tool allows the user to scale any number of design parameters quickly and consistently. More, the scaling tool also allows the user to hold other design parameters constant throughout the scaling. I suspect that the tool is self explanatory at this point, but I will nonetheless spell it out for completeness.

Oh, and the scaling tool is surprisingly enough accessed via the tools pulldown menu in the main GGDT window.

Items to Scale -> Reservoir OD
When selected, the reservoir OD will be scaled according to the scaling value at the bottom of the window.

Items to Scale -> Reservoir Length
When selected, the reservoir length will be scaled according to the scaling value at the bottom of the window.

Items to Scale -> Valve Seat Diameter
When selected, the valve seat diameter will be scaled according to the scaling value at the bottom of the window. At the same time, the valve Cv/Kv, piston diameter, piston mass, pilot volume, and dead volume will all be scaled as well (with the square/cube law as appropriate).

Items to Scale -> Barrel Bore
When selected, the barrel bore will be scaled according to the scaling value at the bottom of the window. Similarly, the reservoir's inner diameter will be scaled as part of the package deal.

Items to Scale -> Barrel Length
When selected, the barrel length will be scaled according to the scaling value at the bottom of the window.

Scale Factor
When the "scale gun" button is pressed, this is the value by which all selected gun components will be scaled by.
